Download Senda

Every version of Senda, free: for your computer, for your phone, or to play in your browser with nothing to install.

Windows

For 64-bit Windows. The installer adds Senda to the Start menu; with the zip, you just extract it and play, no install needed.

How to install
  1. Open Senda-Setup.exe (or, if you downloaded the zip, extract it and open Senda.exe).
  2. If your browser warns that the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
  3. If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info and then Run anyway. That's because the game isn't code-signed (that costs a yearly fee), not because there's anything wrong with it.

The installer doesn't need administrator rights: it adds Senda to the Start menu, and you can uninstall it from Settings → Apps. Uninstalling doesn't delete your saves.

Mac

One zip for Macs with Intel or Apple silicon. It extracts on its own, leaving you with Senda.app.

How to install
  1. Open the zip (it extracts on its own) and, if you like, move Senda.app to Applications.
  2. The first time, macOS says it can't verify the app: that's because it isn't registered with Apple, not because there's anything wrong with it.
    • macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later: open it once and click "Done". Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to "Senda was blocked" and click Open Anyway (it asks for your Mac's password).
    • macOS 14 or earlier: right-click (or Control-click) Senda.app → Open → Open.
  3. After that, it opens normally with a double-click.

Linux

For 64-bit Linux (x86_64). It's in beta: a zip with the game inside, no install needed.

How to install
  1. Extract Senda-linux.zip: you'll get a Senda folder.
  2. Double-click senda.x86_64, or run it from a terminal in that folder: ./senda.x86_64
  3. If it won't open, make it executable: chmod +x senda.x86_64 (or, in your file manager, Properties → Allow executing file as program) and try again.

Requires OpenGL 3.3: almost any graphics card from recent years, with up-to-date graphics drivers.

Android

For 64-bit Android phones and tablets (almost any from the last few years). It's in beta: you play with your phone sideways, using an on-screen joystick and buttons.

How to install
  1. Download Senda.apk and open it from your downloads.
  2. The first time, Android asks for permission to install apps from that source (Chrome or Files): tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, go back, and tap Install.
  3. If Play Protect warns that it doesn't recognize the app, tap More details → Install anyway: that's because Senda isn't on Google Play, not because there's anything wrong with it.

To update, install the new APK over the old one: your saves stay.

In your browser

Nothing to install. On a computer it runs best in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox; on a phone, on Android with Chrome. On iPhone and iPad, this is where you play.

How to play

The first time, it downloads about 30 MB to open the menu, and the world (another 33 MB) while you pick or create your character; after that, it opens much faster.

On a phone, turn it sideways: you play with an on-screen joystick and buttons. It runs best on Android with Chrome; on iPhone it may close if it runs out of memory.

If you're not signed in, browser saves live only in that browser: clearing the site's data erases them (when you're signed in, they're also saved to the cloud). If you play often, the download is the better choice.

Before you download

Your saves

They're stored on the device you play on: your computer, your phone, or that browser. On a computer, deleting or uninstalling the game doesn't erase them; on Android, uninstalling the app does. When you're signed in (Account, in the menu), they're also saved to the cloud: they come back when you sign in on another computer, your phone, or the browser, even if you uninstall or clear your data.

Updating

Download the new version and install it over the one you have: the installer and the APK update it in place, and the zip replaces the old folder or app. Your saves stay. The browser version is always the latest.

Won't open?

Open How to install on your system's card, or see Help on the home page. It's free and safe: the warnings show up because Senda doesn't come from an app store and isn't registered with Microsoft, Apple, or Google.
